Porter Hawkes

Porter Hawkes is a freelance cinematographer and commercial drone pilot based in Northern Utah, with over five years of experience in filmmaking and production. He is the owner of Hawkstra, a boutique production company specializing in commercial and corporate filmmaking.

His passion for filmmaking started early, creating ski edits on GoPros and iPhones in middle school. What began as a creative outlet grew into a side hustle during college and eventually became an unexpected career behind the camera. Today, Porter works as a cinematographer and commercial drone pilot, combining technical expertise with a lifelong passion for storytelling and creating memorable visuals.

Outside of filmmaking, Porter spends much of his time outdoors. He is an avid mountain bike racer and enjoys camping, fly fishing, working on his Toyota 4Runner, spending time with family, and building and flying FPV drones.
